During your driving test the examiner will ask you 2 vehicle safety questions.
One tell me question and one show me question.
Example Questions would be:
When it is safe to do so - please show me how you would operate the horn in the car.
Please show me how you would demist the windscreen.
Please tell me how you could check the cars breaks before starting your journey.
Please show me how you could demist the windscreen
When it is safe - please show me how to open the side window
Please show me how you could wash and clean the Windscreen
Please tell me how you could check that the external lights on the car are operating correctly.
Please tell me how you could check the power steering in the car is functioning correctly.
Please tell me how you would check the coolant level in the vehicle.
Please tell me how you would check the oil level in the vehicle.
Please tell me how you would check the brake fluid level in the vehicle.
These questions will be taken from a set list of possible questions.
The show me, tell me questions are an import part of the leaning process and it helps insure the students general awareness and basic knowledge on the instruments in the car and also under the bonnet.
