Pass Plus Training
The pass plus scheme is mainly aimed at new drivers who have recently passed the driving test but would like to increase the confidence and experience of driving on the roads before going on there own.
Pass plus practical training
The training course takes a minimum of 6 hours and aims to improve drivers skills and allow them to drive more safely.
Only pass plus registered and approved driving instructors and driving schools can provide this training.
Pass Plus Modules
There are 6 modules covered in the pass plus training:
There is no final test as such at the end of the training but your instructor will need to be satisfied that you meet the required standard in order for you to receive a pass plus certificate.
As we all know insurance costs can be quite high especially for new drivers. One great benefit to the pass plus training is that many insurers will offer reduced premiums to drivers who have a pass plus certificate.
Pass plus certificate
If you want a pass plus certificate you will need to apply to the DVLA ( Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency ) and request one.
Once you have met the required standards in all of the six modules your instructor will provide you with a training report that they will sign. This can then be forwarded to the DVLA when requesting your pass plus certificate.
